About the app

Bitcoin Puzzle is an educational and research-oriented experience for exploring cryptographic key generation, Bitcoin address derivation, and publicly published Bitcoin Puzzle keyspaces. It is not a wallet, exchange, payment service, investment service, custody service, or guaranteed method for earning or recovering Bitcoin.

Keys and funds

The app does not request or import seed phrases, wallet credentials, or user-provided private keys, and Reagle Projects does not take custody of cryptocurrency funds. If the app finds a matching key for one of its fixed, publicly published Bitcoin Puzzle challenges, that result is stored only in the protected Keychain on the device running the app. It is not transmitted to Reagle Projects or synchronised to another device by the app. Reagle Projects does not operate a wallet, exchange, payment service, or custody service.

Information the app may process

The released app does not require account registration, login, or a user profile. Local data such as progress, history, checkpoints, settings, statistics, and any matching public-puzzle result may be stored on the device to support app functionality.

The app can make HTTPS requests to CoinGecko and Blockchain.com to display public Bitcoin price, network-statistics, and balance information for the app’s fixed public puzzle addresses. The app does not send local hunt history, checkpoints, settings, or matching keys in those requests. Those providers may process standard connection information, such as an IP address, under their own privacy policies.

Apple processes in-app purchases and subscriptions through its App Store systems under Apple’s privacy rules. The released app does not include a third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK. Any future release that adds one will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before release.

Data retention and security

Reagle Projects does not maintain customer accounts or centralised wallet data. Device-local data is retained according to app functionality and device settings. Reasonable steps are taken to protect data, but no system is completely secure.

Children’s privacy

The app is intended for general and educational use and is not specifically directed to children.
